About Me

Ian Scott Executive Performance Coach

I am an international speaker, educator and author who has worked primarily with media for over 18 years. I focus on improving executive gravitas, communication and helping people engage and build high performing teams. The key areas I focus on within those themes are, discovering greater confidence, being more resilient, changing thinking patterns and verbal and non verbal expressiveness.

Above all else I specialise in 'Gravitas'.

I am one of the few executive coaches that has studied coaching at doctoral level and the first to ever research 'gravitas' as a personal quality from a psychological perspective. I also hold two masters degrees in human development and education and a bachelors degree in sport and business. In addition I trained in acting with the National Institute of Dramatic Art. I serve on the faculty of Duke Corporate Education, part of Duke University in the USA and formerly with the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney and teach for Duke CE every 3-4 weeks in various locations throughout the world. Previously I have worked at director level for PwC, Rolls Royce and Bentley, Daewoo Corporation and the Royal Air Force in the 1980s. I am a dual citizen of Australia and the UK and my office is based in Berkeley Square, London.

My working style is aimed towards those who prefer a blend of insight based coaching methods with practical advice to apply immediately in a business setting. I prefer not to work as a detached coach but consider the real impact that personal change should have on others and business performance. Coaching and advisory work is conducted either face to face (both inside and outside where appropriate) and can also be run as web based or e-conference based to suit locations and times around the world.

Notable clients that I have worked with include, Arcelor Mittal, Bonnier (Scandanavia's largest media conglomerate), British Telecom, Ericsson, Microsoft, National Grid, News Limited (Australia), PwC, Rio Tinto, Rolls Royce and Tesco.

I also partner with Panthea, strategic leadership advisors:
